Mori's first international achievement came in winning the bronze medal in the 1998 European championships, one year after placing fourth in the Athens World Championships.
His Budapest effort presaged the crowning achievement in his career, when he won the World Championships title in Seville in 1999 the following year. Last year in Edmonton, he finished second with a time of 47.54, which currently stands as his lifetime best.
You won the bronze medal in Budapest four years ago, but since then you have won gold and silver in the last two World Championships. What are your goals for Munich, and who do you see as your strongest competition?
