Alozie has silver medals in the 100 hurdles from the Sydney Olympics and the Seville World Championships. She became a Spanish citizen in July 2001, but did not compete in Edmonton.
She was African champion three times, the first coming in 1996, the year she placed second in the World Junior Championships. Alozie is also the reigning World Cup champion after her win in Johannesburg in 1998.
Her personal best is 12.44, which she first ran in the Monaco Herculis meeting in 1998, matching it one year later.
With your citizenship change to Spain last year, you're now eligible to compete in the European Championships this year. How has that changed your career perspectives?
